So many entrepreneurs aren't thoughtful enough about their mission/vision statements. Here is the right way to write them.
Your company's vision is what the world will look like when your mission is achieved. It should start with "A world where..."
Your company's mission is the measurable way to get to your vision. It allows you to see the progress you're making toward the vision.
Here is an example for a supermarket company. "A world where every person has access to fresh produce," is an inspiring vision statement.
A mission statement in support of it could be "have a location within ten miles of every American."
